Ketan.P 6/0/25/3, Amalraj 5/0/18/2, Chandrodaya 10/0/36/2, Govind 5/1/15/1, Nachiket 5/1/22/1
First time in SCCC History Seas played against Bees in any Division.
Bees Won the toss and elected to bowl first. Nachiket Played some aggressive shots against a new ball attack from Bees which looked rusty.
Ritesh kadu was dropped early on and he built a nice platform around it. He was dropped multiple times again which pretty much helped Seas to get to 226.
Karteek Played gem on an innings with lot of confidence and put away bad balls to score 43 of 81 Balls. Guru Man bowled a beauty in the beginning to get an edge of Ritesh and continued to bowl a beautiful spell. Mihir bowled well in patches during his 6overs. kartik Didn't have a great time with the ball and assume it's just one odd day off for him for the bowling caliber he has. Spinners spoiled the party and controleld seas to 226 even though they looked good for 270 plus runs. Seas were 200 for 4 in 43 overs and then 226 for 9 in 50 overs. Krishna and Vijith bowled good spells. Prumjot got 4 wickets and sujesh got 3 to ensure Bees is only chasing a moderate total at SCCC ground.
After a good Lunch game resumed. Dawood again in cracking form was dropped once mistiming a ball and after that it was dawood who decided to get out at 58 of 58 balls being tired on a hot day scooping the ball to Point by Karteek. Prumjot was in an unusual rush to score and paid the price against steady slow bowling by govind. First wicket fell at 20 runs. From then on it was superb cricket with a chaceless partnership of 92 runs between Dawood and krish Goel in 20 overs at a healthy 5 runs per over. seas team looked like losing the Ploy. But here comes Chandrodaya who generated a chance to get dawood out and Sujesh Walkedin to Join krish at the score of 111 for 2. next 25 runs came at ease and krish started batting with lot more authority and sujesh was supporting him well. Bees at 30th over 136 runs and just 2 down looked good to chase 226. Ketan Phaye comes for second spell and answered captain's worries by Picking up krish and Ravi shankar in 2 balls leaving Bees in a shattered mode. 136 for 4 and then krishna Joined Sujesh. Sujesh got out to Amalraj and the normal saga continues. 138 for 5 and then 138 for 6 since krishna got out edging a ball from ketan. kartik raina looked good but popped a catch back on a low full toss from Amalraj. 146 for 7. Mihir kanojia batted out another 30 odd balls and scored 12 was the only last batsman standing. Vijith unable to bat due to a back spasm when 65 runs required in last 10 overs didn't help either. Eventually Bees folded up losing 9 wickets for 163 runs and lost the game to Seas for 63 runs. Thanks to Tameem for helping out as 12th Man and showing great spirit.
Overall a good game of cricket
Thanks,
Suju

Match Report - SCCC Mavericks v/s U.C Warriors - Quarter Finals - Knock Out- Disappointing Loss and end to Winter
and then Goof-up. Lacking of planning and application as a batsman
costed Mavericks the chance to proceed to Semis.
Disappointing to see that SCCC have always lost due to top order
batting failure and never due to bowling all these years in an
important Game.
If we get starts in important games we are good. if we don't and if
the run rate goes above 7 to 8 runs then the guys who do not know have
never hit the ball tries to slog and get out. All I can say is
"You can be good and a champ in league rounds but if we cannot perform
when it really matters we are not champions".
Sorry That we had to end Mavericks on a note like this in this Winter
but hope the players will spent next few weeks correcting their
errors.
If they do not show up that's how serious they were and it showed in the game.
Match Summary,
U.C Warriors Beat SCCC Mavericks
U.C Warriors 131 Allout in 20 overs (Sridhar 43, Rocky some 30 plus,
Mihir Kanojia 6 wickets, krishna.V 2 wickets, Chandrodaya 2 wickets)
Beat
SCCC Mavericks 100 All out in 17.4 overs (Shiva 20 plus, Madhav, Kiran
got wickets. will Update once i have copy of score sheets)
A Patient and unusual Innings from Sridhar Reddy to score 43 runsand
yet U.C Warriors 91 for 1 slipped to 130 Allout. SCCC Mavericks
dropped Some catches especially from the very best after playing High
Quality cricket throughout the winter. Mihir Kanojia took 6 wickets
with some magnificient bowling keeping it straight and using the seam
to good use. Ritesh had some good moments behind the stumps with a
good catch and a great stumping. Krishna Bowled with great control and
got 2 wickets. Chandrodaya Supported with 2 wickets. U.C warriors got
all out in 18 Overs.
SCCC mavericks chasing one of the lowest total so far againt proved
that chasing low score is a Mental problem. Lost Ritesh and Prumjot to
Pull shots which didn't warrant the situation and unlike previous
encounters U.C warriors took all the catches it matters and was there
to ensure they are in Semis. Madhav tried to stop a ball and got hit
on the nose and was bleeding. SO almost for 3 overs U.C warriors
played with 10 fielders.SCCC Mavericks could never push the rate more
than 6 at any given point and Run rate kept climbing and Finally
couldn't get through due to the inability to hit big SHots. SHiva was
batting well but got LBW. Ritesh,Prumjot, Sujesh, Krish,SHiva all
failed.
But Amazing Team Spirit and Great Bowling by Madhav and Kiran to
restrict SCCC Mavericks
Good luck to U.C Warriors

Indus batted first and 18 for no loss in 4 overs. Rohith Ramkumar at
his best swinging the ball and cleaned up the top 4 batsman. Mishal
batted well for his 33 and got out to Ismail in the 17th over. Giri
attacked and got 30 Not Out. Rohit patwari, Amar and Ismail supported
Rohith. Skipper krishna gave 5 overs to both youngsters and they
cleaned up 3 wickets in the end. Govind and Spinners were playing at
some point since all catches were going straight to him at short
midwicket. Govind took 4 catches at the Same position. Indus bated
better than their last visit and piled up 134 runs which is a
competitive total at SCCC ground.
SCCC Sox started very slow negotiating the swing bowling from Abhi who
bowled beautifully with the new ball. Suresh was erratic and leaked
runs. Karteek got out to a good catch from Kundam at Slips off
Kranthi's bowling. Rohith settled down at one end. Govind played
sensibily for his 11 runs. Girish walked in at 4 and tried one too

Match Report - Mavericks v/s Cougars - Feb 5th 2012
Home team: SCCC Mavericks
Away team: Cougars
Played: Wilson Education school on Feb 5, 2012
Toss won by: Cougars and elected to bat first
umpires
Cougars: 113/9 in 20 overs.
Krishna 39, Sunny 25, Sitanshu 23, Sunil 14.
Sujesh 4-1-12-1, Chandu 4-0-25-1, Ganesh 3-0-17-1, Prumjot 3-0-23-1,
Shiva 1-0-3-1, 3 runouts
Lost to
SCCC Mavericks: 114/2 in 17 overs
Prumjot 42, Krish 36 not out, Ravi S. 14, Shiva 12 not out
Sunny 2-0-17-1, Lalith 2-0-6-1
by 8 Wickets
Cougars won the toss and elected to bat at SCCC whereas Mavericks this
whole season have relied on batting and have put huge score upfront so
this was another task in front.
Sunny and Arsh Jammu started and Chandu got Arsh bowled to a beauty.
Sujesh got Jigar bowled which added to their trouble. Sunny and
krishna settled in slower than usual since they can clear the rope at
will once set. Sunny had a unusual cautious approach and played well
well for his 25 but miscued a uppish shot to mid off and got caught at
long off by sagar. Krishna tried to fix things and played very well
eventhough Ganesh troubled krishna twice and generated 2 chances.
Prumjot was introduced and got krishna caught and bowled. Krishna was
set and would have done more damage but this was a lucky break. Deval
got out run out with a mix-up. From then on it was just customary
batting and mavericks bowled really well. Slow bowlers did the trick
and COugars found it difficult to score. Cougars ENded up scoring 113
for 9 in 20 overs.
SCCC mavericks started with Ravi Shankar and Prumjot. Ravi shankar
started really well with some glorious shots on both sides of the
wicket. he mistimed a pull of sunny and got out. Krish Joined Prumjot
and they had a 70 Plus handy runs in no time with some excellent
placements and running between wickets. Mavericks batting have been
strong this whole winter and teams have found it difficult to get
through the top and middle order yet. Prumjot ended up scoring 42
runs. Krish scored a brilliant 36 runs at a good pace which included
scincillating square drive for a six over cover point off Adhiraj's
bowling. Treat to watch indeed. Prumjot got out and it was matter of
time SHiva and krish finished the game in 17 overs.
Good game of cricket against some quality team and some good cricketers.

Rohit.P 2-1-2-1
by 50 runs.
Shantanu played a blinder for SCCC sox to get to 135 which is a very
competitive score at SCCC home ground. Rohith, Ketan and Karteek
supported him well. Srini, ravi and Nitin bowled well for Stanford
Tigers. Srihari bowled well but didn't have much luck.
Stanford A tigers were never in the hunt and were always way below
required run rate. There were some unorthodox hard hits by Ravi but
none stick around to achieve the target. Stanford had 5 wickets in
hand till the last 4 overs where Rohit Patwari, karteek and Sagar
cleaned them up. Sushant bowled a beautiful spell to make early
inroads and finished with 3 wickets ably supported by Amalraj.
Game was played in good spirits and umpiring was very good.

All time best by SCCC openers sealed the game for Mavericks against Sunnyvale Entourage
SCCC Mavericks 182 for NO LOSS (Ritesh kadu 85 Not Out, Prumjot 84 Not out)
Beat Sunnyvale Entourage 144 for 6 wickets in 20 overs (Ganesh 1
wicket, Sunny 1 wicket, Guru 1 wicket, Nachiket 1 wicket, Rohit.P 1
wicket, krish 1 wicket)
Ganesh, Guru and Nachiket bowled really well.
Vellanki and vijay Bhai bowled 2 beautiful Slowest overs to ensure
that sunnyvale was grounded (Both bowled 1 faster ball each to deceive
the batsman :)
Guru the legend was moving the ball and was at his best.
Ritesh kadu and prumjot scored an unbeaten First wicket partnership
which was the best ever at SCCC in all forms.
Prumjot got one life at 40 but otherwise brilliant execution of
batting were displayed by both batsman and plenty of doubles and
threes to get the score to 182.
Newbies also performed and took some good catches. 100% catching today
was the highlight
Also chandu who used his wedding ring as bowling marker :) during last
practice session is still a mystery.
I am a proud SCCCian to see so many good talent on our field.
Thanks,
Suju
