Fwd: SCCC 2008 Grounds Day - 03/15/2008

As communicated earlier, the 2008 Grounds Day is scheduled for
03/15/2008, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Your
participation in this event would be greatly appreciated. The list
below outlines our goals for the day. As you can see there is a lot of
work that needs to be done. This is YOUR club, please pitch in!!!

Scheduled list of activities

1. Replace the mats on both practice wickets in the nets
2. Repair shed door
3. Repair practice nets
4. Repair and fix wooden beams in the nets
5. Mark and paint bowling creases
6. Install "Facilities Usage Sign"
7. Apply weed killer around the center wicket and practice nets
8. Organize the contents of the shed
9. Misc.

Hope to see you next Saturday. The current weather forecast for
Saturday, March 15th is "Partly Cloudy" and a high of 61 degrees. It
should be a great day to get our facilities in ship-shape.

Notes:

1. Includes a $100 deposit, of which $50 is refunded/paid to member for each umpiring assignment completed.

2. An additional nominal "match fee" will be collected in every League and social game to defray the cost of the ball and to pay League umpires.

I, , do hereby apply for membership in the Santa Clara Cricket Club (SCCC) in the category selected above.

I fully realise that in the course of the game of Cricket, on or off the field, playing, umpiring or spectating, I might well be injured in a manner that may cause considerable pain, injury or even loss of life. I am fully prepared to indemnify and hold harmless from any liability related to playing Cricket as a member of the Santa Clara Cricket Club, the Santa Clara Cricket Club and all of its members, the City of Santa Clara, the Santa Clara Unified School District, the Northern California Cricket Association (NCCA) and its teams and members.

I further agree to always conduct myself in a gentlemanly manner in keeping with the traditions and laws of the game of Cricket and to not indulge in any activities that may bring the game or the SCCC into disrepute. I promise not to cheat or use gamesmanship to gain an unfair advantage against another player or club. I agree to honour and abide by the constitution and by-laws of the Santa Clara Cricket Club.

I realise that I may not be eligible for membership in the Santa Clara Cricket Club if I am currently a member of another cricket club in Northern California, unless my membership is approved by the Board of Directors of the Santa Clara Cricket Club. In such a situation, I realize that the facilities (nets, equipment,etc) of the SCCC will not be available for my use. My placement in any team of the Santa Clara Cricket Club shall be determined solely by the Selection Committee of the S CCC.
