SCCC Bees 119 for 7 in 30.4 Overs (Dawood.M 14, Krish.G 52 Not Out, Prumjot 11, Karan.J 14 Not Out,
Gurjpal 8-1-33-3, Vicky.S 8-2-21-3, Mohit 5.4-0-33-0, Ranvir.J 3-0-11-1, Amritpal 2-0-7-0, Sunil 1-0-5-0, Prabhjot 3-0-5-0, Extras 24)

CVCC won the toss and elected to bat with light breeze in the morning at Wilson ground. CVCC started with a bang first over 6 runs with some good shots from Prabhjot. Sukhi looked good playing straight on a good wicket. Hasan Was getting good movement off the wicket. Umair struck with a beauty to get prabhjot bowled in the first ball he bowled. Prabhjot have been a backbone for CVCC scoring chunk of their runs and losing him early hit them badly. Mohit was next to walk in  and found ti difficult to cope up against good bowling from bees. Disaster struck was the first thought when hasan pulled his hamstring during his run-up and was struggling. Hasan started using short run-up and bowled another beauty to get Mohit bowled and his off stump was disturbed. Amritpal walked in and didn't look comfortable from ball one and was caught by Ravi Shankar which was a blinder at Gully of Umair's Bowling. Umair was really hitting good line and length and was at his best. Sukhi was set up since he started being aggressive against his natural game. Caught at Backward Gully well caught by Ravi shankar. Score suddenly read 8 overs 29 for 4. CVCC struggling and game not over yet since Carmo yet to walkin and Ranveer who never give up yet to bat had some hope. Shahid walked in and played some good shots and scored 13 with 2 boundaries. Mihir the Magic Arm yet again started well and troubled CVCC batsman with good movement and control with the new ball. Hasan had to eventually walked out in pain to avoid further injury and Little Cheetah (ismail) came to help out in the field. Shahid was well caught by krish off a slash at backward point. Sunil was caught by another great peace of slip fielding by krishna who have the safest hands which any captain can rely on. Mihir got his second wicket byb now and score got to 43 for 6 wickets. Gurnek walked in at #7 and got bowled to Mihir after getting frustrated for 8 balls. He is a free stroke player and was unable to time anything lead to his downfall. Carmo and Rana Joined and as expected they put together a good partnership of 38 runs. Carmo at his best started attacking and got few boundaries and looked really set. Rana was settling down one end. Carmo got run out to a good piece of fielding by Rohit Patwari after 4 dot balls from Sujesh at the score of 86 in 25 overs. Gurjpal got LBW to Sujesh after scoring 8 runs but had a good partnership of 28 runs with Ranveer. Vicky was edging and nudging and got 4 runs. Ranverr hit some good shots to his favorite region of Long on and deep midwicket and got out Last by Karan of Prumjot's bowling. CVCC folded for 118 in 32.2 overs. SCCC Bees took at the catches which came their way and if they had put extra effort in 1 more catch off Gurjpal then CVCC wouldn't have crossed 100.

Game started before Lunch and played for 12 overs. SCCC started with a positive intent chasing down but cvcc was firing on all cylinders since they had no other choice to defend 118 on a good outfield. Ravi.s got out to a good Ball curving out from Gurjpal to a good catch at Gully who was hitting good areas and generating good zip. Rohit patwari walks in next and couldn;t cope up with the moving ball and tempo and got beaten by a ball which cut back in sharply from Gurjpal. Score read 11 for 2 in 5 overs. Dawood still there is plenty of hope. Krish Joined dawood and took the score to 20. Dawood got one which was very close moving down the leg but umpiring which was very consistent throughout the day have to go with his instinct and got LBW. This was a big blow for Bees. SCC bees suddenly 20 for 3 in 7 overs. Vicky from CVCC was bowling good areas and getting good movement. Prumjot Walked in Next and Looked really comfortable and played some scincillating shots. Krish was settling down to ensure his team is in safe hands and showed immense maturity to get the game through without any risks. Prumjot got out to a international level left handed catch by Mohit at Short cover of vicky's bowling. Suddenly some faces were dull and discussion started but the whole message was to enjoy the batting and take whatever comes and do 10 runs target at a time. Sujesh Joined Krish and should have taken the team through but got out to a bad ball getting a faint edge trying to cut a wide short slow ball after facing 5 balls to Wicket keeper Prabhjot. Vicky was licking his fingers with Prumjot and Sujesh out and bowled a beauty which swung a mile the very next ball and got krishna bowled. SCCC bees in trouble is what cvcc thought but they still had guys who can win games up their ranks. Score read 44 for 6 in 15 overs. Mihir Kanojia and krish had a steady partnership and just when things were going fine Mihir got trapped in front by Ranveer who bowls left handed dubbly dobblies with good control. They had a small 14 runs partnership. Score read 58 for 7 in 20 overs. Another 61 runs needed with 3 wickets in hand and krish batting Bees were in high hopes since CVCC started tiring down since it's already 20 overs and Main bowlers are tired and now the ball have gone old and easy to score of medium pace at SCCC wicket. Karan Jhavar who is playing his debut game for SCCC bees played a very instrumental role in stitching a 61 runs partnership to win the game. Not that SCCC Bees won without a drama. Karan played a tired shot with a lapse of concentration at a crucial juncture when Bees needed another 20 runs to win. Keeper, bowler and short extra cover fielder all called for it and finally the swapped new keeper dropped it misjudging it. 31 st over was a beauty Ball 1 - Beautiful pick up shot to midwicket boundary by krish, Ball 2 Straight into the trees at benton end picked off a lengtht walking into the ball. 3rd ball was Put over extra cover for 3 runs. 4th ball was perfectly played by karan for 2 runs and that's the end of it. Highlight was a Matured knock of 52 Not Out from krish Goel for his Patient and Watchful innings and taking load on his shoulder in a low scoring game where seniors failed. Kudos to krish for a great knock before he takes off for Under-18 US team.

Special thanks to Vijay Goel as always, Guru Maan, Shailu, Ranjit and his kids, Jagat and Mandeep for being there and supporting bees.

Awesome Job guys and way to go to keep it 5 wins and 3 losses and Give everyone a good hunt for their money playing against bees in A-Div. We continue having fun and enjoy every bit of it.

Thanks,
Sujesh Pulikkal

Cardinals: 155 for 10 in 46 overs (Saleem 52, Nauman 34, Ganesh 23, Saeed 16 Not Out, Kartik.R 4-0-10-2, Sameer.E 6-1-31-1, Sujesh 8-1-17-0, Mihir.K 9-1-29-3, Chandrodaya 7-1-28-0, Prumjot 8-1-21-4, Krish.G 4-0-13-0, Extras 15)

by 26 runs

Cardinals won the toss and elected to field in dessert heat at Tracy. Cardinals provided more than enough fluids to protect both teams from dehydration. SCCC Bees up against quality cardinals team started well with 40 for no loss in 11 overs. Tiredness costed Ravi.S and Dawood back to back. Ravi.S was caught by Anwar with a very sharp catch at Gully. Ganesh was his usual self swinging, seaming, skidding the ball on a good wicket. Krish got out to a beauty from Bilal who was consistently bowling good areas and getting good movement. krishna and Sujesh stitched in another good partnership of 30 runs and krishna got out trying to cut Bilal. Sujesh was bowled by Ganesh for 11 and suddenly score fell to 79 for 5 in 25 overs. Bowling was tight and cardinals gave nothing away. Purmjot and chandroday batted very sensibly and took the score to 109 in 35 overs. Chandrodaya fell LBW to Saleem. Kartik Joined prumjot and milked the cardinals bowling with 1s and 2s were most of the cardinals players were on the floor at one point. The heat was so high they could barely get up to drink water. Umpires were evry competent and were considerate to allow desired breaks to ensure none collapsed. Score was at 160 when Bees lost Kartik after a very good 28. Prumjot got out at 169 well caught by tushar at extra covers after a brilliant 35 and Bees lost 8 wickets at 48 overs. Rohit Patwari and Sameer played good agressive cricket and good running to take the score to respectable 181 for 8 in 50 overs. Bilal was the pick of bowlers. But ganesh, Saeed, Saleem and Zafar Supported Bilal Well.

SCCC Bees knew the task was tough against a bunch of guys who can clear any ground and few most expereinced batsman in the wings who can score big against any attack. First over Kartik bowled good four balls and a bang from Anwar which flew maybe into the orbit behind the keeper where we saw krishna running backward 20 yards and take a clean catch. Shock in disbelief by Cardinals. Raiyan looked tentative from ball one since kartik was getting good movement off the wicket and he edged to Dawood behind the stumps. Cardinals lost 2 wickets for 7 runs. Ajay Arora walked into bat and was joined by Saleem who looked in Omnious touch and in sublime form. Ajay Fell to a beauty which cut back in by Sameer. score 3 for 7. Saleem and Ganesh batted with so much caution. A tough catch at Mid-on spilled off Saleem got him into a different gear. Saleem carefully played against sujesh but was brutal for few overs after that.  Suddenly from 7 in 3 in 5 overs Cardinals were sitting pretty at 84 for 3 in 19 overs. Prumjot was brought into the attack and got Ganesh out first ball when he tried to use the bowling power play. This was the much needed break for SCCC eventhough bowling were at it's best with not giving runs away. 5th wicket of Saleem Feel at the score 95 for a cracking shot against Mihir picked off the length to mid wicket which was hit at a rollicking speed was well caught by Krish. Nauman was settling in nicely. Adil came and didn't look like staying at the wicket and was unable to play prumjot and got out LBW. Tushar whoi has been in cracking form in the shorterb format walked into to bat with a swollen finger and was caught at slips off a slying edge by krishna who made it look simple. Spectacular Catching by krishna. Zafar was the most painful batsman to get out due to the real meaning of full face of the bat at all times and no intent to score. Nauman was cruising along ticking the score but run rate also started getting close to 6 runs per over and nauman was taking occassional risks which none went his way. Bees kept adding pressure on the field and took everything came their way. Nauman took the chance against Mihir who again was spot on with his length and a shot which could have gone for a six went straight and flat to Deep square leg where Krish took another excellent catch inches inside the rope which was the turning point. Saeed walked into bat and the whole league knows game is never over so long the big hitting Saeed is around for whom run rate is never an issue. Cardinals needed now 38 in last 6 overs. Sujesh came back and kept things tight one end along with krish and Zafar finally let loose against the best bowler Mihir and paid the price being well caught by Sameer at Mid-on. Prumjot Bwoled the 46 over when Cardinals needed 33 needed in 5 overs. Saeed hit one of the biggest sixes against the spin to deep midwicket but it was just one bad shot away. Bilal hit one down sujesh's throat at Long on against Prumjot and Bees won by 26 runs and 4 overs to spare. Great Hospitality by Cardinals and SCCC Bees much appreciate it. Chandrodaya, Kartik, krish and Sameer supported Prumjot very Well.

Excellent and Immaculate Umpiring by Anuj and Daljit (hats Off guys)

MOM: Prumjot (35 runs, 8-1-21-4 wickets)
M.V.P: Mihir.K (9-1-29-3) - price scalps of Saleem and Nauman at crucial junctures.
(My M.V.P would have been Saleem.M for his 52 and 2 wickets but Mihir's Contribution was to be seen on the field).

by 2 runs

Game of the year so far probably where UC warriors lost a thriller to SCCC Bees where they didn't give up and gave a fight to the last breath and held their nerves to take crucial catches. Game was exciting till the end until Srini's valiant effort of batting with one hand after a Finger Injury during the first innings taking a blinder at slips off Dawood. Bees elected to bat and Started with the loss of Prumjot on a soft dismissal against Jayavel 's bowling. Dawood Followed krishna after starting well scoring 12 runs. Krishna was nicely settling in and looked very confident playing Jayavel and ranveer. Umesh tried to sweep jayavel and got LBW. SCCC Bees now 47 for 3 in 12 overs. Sujesh and krishna stitched in a nice 56 runs partnership. Just when things were going really well and SCCC bees in good position there was a mix-up between krishna and sujesh and Sujesh got run out scoring 22. score read 103/4. Chandru followed the very next ball without facing a delivery with another mix-up with krishna. SCCC Bees really never recovered from there other than a brilliant innings from krishna who ended up with 56 and got out due the heat which was in the high 90s. Ravi.s Got out LBW to Happy who was bowling really well. Rohit patwari played a blinder and scored 20 runs off 25 balls and got out pulling a ball to the lone fielder at deep midwicket. Mihir. K got LBW to Naren who bowled in good areas with his left arm spin. Ganesh and Sushanth had a very valuable partnership of 12 runs to add for the last wicket since anything above 150 there is always a chance at SCCC.

After Lunch U.C Warriors started their proceedings with all season fire-works from rocky who always look like middling the ball from ball one. Rocky scored 12 in the first over bowled by Ganesh. ALl shots were played off good balls, Widish long off, covers, Long on. Naren was settling in at the other end with some crisp boundaries against krishna who opened the bowling with his off spinners. Naren hit a good length off the back foot where Prumjot took a good catch at Mid-on. Sujesh bowled a maiden to Rocky to start with and got him the next over mistiming a shot to covers where umesh held a good catch. The damage was done and U.C warriors were 40 in 7 overs. Mihir bowled a beauty and got Kiran edge the second ball where dawood took a very good catch standing up to the stumps. Ranveer walked in and chipped the first ball to short midwicket where the fielder misjudged the ball completely and dropped it. From then on Ranveer played some brilliant shots against the medium pacers to score his 50 even though he played out all good deliveries with respect. Jayavel started well and was middling the ball and playing with lot of confidence. He hit some good shots off prumjot to start with. Just when there was a 55 runs partnership going jayavel got out to Umesh edging the ball low where dawood kept his pads together and got stuck in between. Mihir kept asking questions and look like enjoying bowling to heavy weight U.C warriors batsman who can hit big shots against any attack. SCCC bees kept doing basics right by keeping the ball in good areas. Srikanth and Raju were playing really well. Sushanth was introduced just for 1 over in the 31st over and got Raju pull a ball straight to short fine leg. 143 for 6 in 30 overs. Srini walks in with a fractured Finger and showed lot of courage to do that. Srikanth was Middling the ball well and was finding Occassional gaps and waiting for his Strength ball to hit. Just when things were going alright a voice came from the pavilion "Srikanth Bhai maro aur khadam karlo"  - It was Ranveer :) and SCCC bees owe him that wicket since srikanth went for a big shot and got LBW missing the ball completely from Mihir where it skid through. The disaster struck and Naveen batting with Srini look like game is on with Srini batting with one hand to drive everything. Naveen was under pressure to finish the game was hesitating to play shots with the field in completely. He got run out in a mix-up. 160 for 8 with 6 runs needed and 14 overs in hand. Sujesh Bowled a 1 run over and got Happy out on the 5th ball trapped in front. Last Ball Shesha walked in and the kid was nervous to the core to bat. Last ball Shesha defended and got away from a caught and bowled where the ball didn't carry. 3 runs needed and 1 wicket in hand. U.C warriors slowly started showing some nervousness on their faces since they had even stopped updating the score board thinking the game was over long ago. Srini on Strike Dot Ball, Uppish drive to extra cover almost a chance but went for 2 runs. Dot ball again. This time Srini want to finish the game quickly but one hope was that he was batting with one hand and if he use the other hand ball will pop-up. Prumjot bowled a quicker one and srini flicked the wrist since field was in and blessing in disguise it popped up straight to Square leg fielder Rohit Patwari who did no mistake. SCCC Bees win a thriller by 2 runs where U.C Warriors had 12 overs left. Great game of cricket

Excellent Umpiring by Jr. JVI (Stanford) and Shankar (BCCI)

MOM: Mihir Kanojia (10-1-43-4) - Match Winning Spell
MVP: krishna - 56 runs ((99 Balls) and crucial run out.

SCCC Bees 115 All out in 36.4 overs (Ketan.P 51 (63 Balls) , Krish 4.4.-0-16-2, Sameer. E 7-0-25-2, Shantanu 5-0-15-1, Manoj.K 5-0-11-1, Umar. A 4-1-9-1, Rohith.R 3-1-15-2, Sundara.P 5-1-17-0, Shiva 4-0-18-1)

by 66 runs

SCCC Aces started batting with shiva and Karteek. Shiva got out early to a sharp catch at Short extra cover. Karteek edged one to keeper after batting well for 6 overs. kartik raina was in good rythm and moving the ball. Chandu at the other end as usual created opportunities. Rohith was caught at Gully. Aces were in trouble with 3 down for 29 runs in 8 overs. Shantanu was let go off a missed stumping chance of the bowling off chandu. Shantanu made good use of that chance and played a very steady and responsible captain's knock. SCCC Bees bowling again was disciplined and were tough to get away with. Kadu was settling in but got a reprieve at 10 runs being dropped at mid-on. Shantanu and kadu got out to good bowling by prumjot who was again bowling like a charm.  Krish Goel played a very mature innings to pace up and gave SCCC aces a respected total. Sundara pandian batted well with krish to ensure they crossed 180 runs.

SCCC bees started well and Disaster struck when prumjot batting well till then coming from a 125 Not out game played a over-confident shot of an uppish ball and got out to Krish at point. Nachiket, Ravi.S, Chandru, Candy, Mihir, SUjesh all followed without troubling scores picking wrong shots at the wrong moment and opened the gate for SCCC Aces. While all these were happening Ketan was playing another league game there scoring at will without any trouble. Rohit patwari had a small partnership with ketan and that's all Bees can feel good about after having a amazing first session doing everything right  against a quality batting line up. Rohit. R and Sameer got 2 wickets each. Shantanu, Umar and manoj supported them well. Krish. G again turned the game in Aces favor with some very tight bowling forcing batsman to play shots against the wind and got 2 wickets.

by 6 wickets

Tracy united won the toss and coming after a win against UC warriors looked a confident unit. Tracy won the toss and elected to bat on a good wicket with a slow outfield but good enough to score 160 to 200 runs. Raman and Bobby started for Tracy United. Scored 16 in 3 overs thanks to good help of wides. Raman was dropped first ball of Candy (chandrodaya's) bowling but got bowled trying to step out to satish who was bowling good pace. Bobby gave a catch to Long on trying to clear. Amar and Hemi played some very good cricket and Bees had to change strategy due to score being 42 runs in 8 overs for 2 wickets. Amar hit some clean shots. Hemi got out to beauty bowled by Mihir which seamed away. Laddi tried his best to get partnerships going but everyone were in a hurry and due to discipled bowling for 21 overs with only 3 extras from 17th over (70 runs) to 38 over and gave away only 28 runs. Sujesh took 4 wickets for 6 runs and well supported by prumjot with another dream spell of 5 overs for 3 runs and Mihir who has been very consistent and giving all important break throughs in every game bowled 10 overs for just 18 runs. SCCC bees did well to recover and cleaned up tracy united for a very low total.
Also SCCC Bees bowled 22 overs in 1 hr and according to partha it's a record :)

Lunch was taken after 12 overs of batting.

Santa Clara Bees Started Batting with Prumjot and Dawood again going great guns chasing a very modest total. Dawood Pulled and hooked at will against tracy united opening bowler abbas. dawood got out in 7th over scoring 20 (26 balls), Abbas took a low diving catch at mid off. Prumjot after getting a good start again played an expansive stroke against his odds and got out to a good catch by Wicket keeper Jodha. Ravi shankar and Chandru looked all set to chase it down since run rate wasn't an issue and all it required was to bat through. Ravi shankar glided one to Gully where they again took a good catch. Tracy united fielding and catching has been top notch and if these kids put runs on board it might be tough to chase since they are sharp in the field. Chandru and Rohit started building another partneship. Score was flowing since Tracy united bowled 24 wides within the 17 overs. Kuldeep got chandru out stumped. krish Joined Rohith Ramkumar who started slowly but was in sublime touch and hit some glorious shots down the ground. Rohith Ramkumar remained not out on 27 and SCCC Bees won by 6 wickets in the 21st over. krish remained not out with rohith.

Over All good game of cricket.

Umpiring by Ahiraj and Partha was very consistent. I Am very impressed with Adhiraj who was very focussed with his job. Great to see some good umpires in our league.

MOM: Sujesh Pulikkal (8 Overs-3 Maidens -6 Runs -4 wickets)
MVP: Rohith Ramkumar (27 Not Out (31 balls) - 3*4, 1*6)

by

63 runs

Kings started well with Tushar and Kitty playing blinders and scoring at 150 strike rate. Kitty playing some spectacular shots at a fast SCCC outfield where fielders didn't even stand a chance. Dalvir was the hero who grinded his 30 not out at one end. Zubair bowled well along with hasan and jagat.
SCCC Sox were never in hunt till jagat unleashed 4 boundaries in a row. He just played 5 balls for his 16. Run rate kept climbing and tushar bowled a dream spell taking good 5 wickets. Also 3 run outs didn't help the cause as well. Tameem started well till he got run out to a bad mix-up with hasan and Ranjit looked in good touch till he go out. Hasan played a very good innings to give a fight to kings and had 45 runs last wicket partnership with ismail who scored 13 not out.

Kings deserve this for the way they batted and bowled and outplayed SOX.

SCCC II: 175/10 in 42 overs (Karteek.K 41(84 balls) , Sujesh.P 35 (45 balls) , Dawood 29, Mahesh. K  7-0-42-5, Prithvi 10-1-34-2, Karan.K 6-0-33-2, Jayanth 6-0-18-1, Pranay 8-0-23-0, Extras 44)

defeated

Stanford-I: 112/10 in 44.3 overs(Vinay.S 25, Rishi.B 20, Karan.K 13 Not out,  Prumjot 6-3-5-3, Mihir 10-0-26-2, Kartik. R 7.3-1-21-2, Sujesh 8-1-25-2, Chandu.S 5-1-18-1, krish 5-2-7-0, Sushant.M 3-0-5-0, Extras 11)

Match Report:

SCCC II started well with 13 runs in 2 overs but prumjot was given LBW to a hawk eye decision. There after it was bad state of affairs. Mahesh got chandru LBW following ball. krish got a beauty which swung in long way trying to leave and got bowled. Dawood and Karteek stitched in a decent partnership till score read 57. Chandu. S walked in Next and didn't last long and got caught and bowled Jayanth who bowled a tidy spell. Score was at 62 for 5 in 18 overs and SCCC Bees looked in trouble. Sujesh and Karteek played with caution and build a solid partnership of 72 runs in next 20 overs. Little karteek showed immense maturity in the way he build his innings with stanford bowling good areas. Their 44 extras costed them the game. Sujesh got bowled for 35 (45 balls) to prithvi who bowled a good 10 over spell and the collapse started again. SCCC II Lost Mihir, Karteek who looked settled scoring 8 runs, Sushant in quick sucession and innings ended with 175 runs in 42 overs. Stanford did not drop any catches since there were 3 LBWs and 4  bowleds. Rishi caught 2 behind the wicket and jayanth caught one off his own bowling. Pranay, Jayanth, prithvi and Pranay bowled really well but with no luck. Mahesh is MVP for taking 5 wickets and bowled a great spell.

Stanford Innings started with lot of confidence thinking with a super fast outfield the score should be easy to chase. Rohan chandran blessed them and left before stanford started batting and confirmed that it's easy chase and Rishi alone can handle it :). SCCC Bees started with rohan's word of discouragement and ended up winning by 63 runs. We wish rohan come by for every SCCC Bees game. Vinay Suri and jayanth put 12 runs for the first wicket in 5 overs. Jayanth got bowled to a beauty from chandu which swung back in. Prithvi looked good for the amount he spent at the crease but got out to a very good catch at slips by Prumjot. Rishi started slowly as usual and a tough wicket for the opponent especially in a low scoring game. Rishi got plumb in front scoring 20 of 55 balls for a ball which skid through from Mihir after attempting twice to get out who bowled a beautiful spell of 10 overs in a trot just giving away 26 runs. Runs had dried up and stanford from 43 for 2 in 11 overs slipped to 74 for 3 in 26 overs. Vinay fell after a patient and well grinded 25 runs (60 balls) .  Mahesh, subbu, sumanth . karthik, karan had no chance of chasing it down due to very disciplined bowling by Bees where there are only 11 extras including 5 byes in the 45 overs they bowled. Highlight was prumjot and krish bowling with field in and just giving away 4 runs in 5 overs of batting powerplay between 36 and 40 overs. prumjot yet again turned out to be unplayable and took 3 wickets for 5 runs in 6 overs. Krish bowled tight and just gave away 7 runs in 5 overs. Stanford needed 63 runs in last 5 overs and run rate had gone upto 12 plus a over chasing 175 in 50.

Overall good game of cricket and i guess Rohan jinxed his own team since he was dropped from stanford-I :)- That's what the Stanford team Said !!! - Just Kidding

MoM - Sujesh.P.
MVP - Mahesh. K.

Match Report: UC Warriors got off to a flying start thanks to Rocky who was hitting the balls into nearby houses . UC warriors reached 100 by the 14th over without losing a wicket . Rocky got out at the score of 110 for a well made 80 of 47 balls with 6 Sixes and 4 Fours. Naren the other opener got out shortly for a well made 24 . Kiran and Ranveer began to consolidate and the score read 160 at the end of 30 th over. When UC was about to accelerate to a big score there was a flurry of wickets . Eshwar who started his spell after 34 overs picked up a five wicket haul to have UC warriors all out for 208 in 46 overs . Eshwar's spell read 6-1-19-5 .

UC warriors started their bowling on a good note with Jayavel Picking up Dawood in the first over . After that Prumjot and Chandru settled down to put together a 75 Runs partnership . When things were going smoothly for Bees a direct hit runout cost Chandru his wicket and after that it was downhill for the Bees as Kiran spun a web around the Opposite batsmen . Kiran Picked up 6 wkts with his offspin . Prumjot batted very sensibly but ran out of partners . In the end Bees were all out for 116 giving UC warriors a vicory by 92 runs.

Match Report - Bees lost to Sea by 63 Runs - April 15th 2012

Hi All,

A-Division: SCCC-III(Seas) @ SCCC-II (Bees)
Date: 4/15/2012
Played at: W.A. Wilson Ground, Santa Clara
Umpires: Prateek and Brian (Sunnyvale CC)
Toss: Won by SCCC-II and elected to bowl first

Seas 226 for 9 on 50 Overs
(Nachiket 30(21), Ritesh Kadu 73(106), Karteek 43(81),
Prumjot 10/1/42/4, Sujesh.P 10/1/38/3, krishna.V 5/0/18/1, 1 Run Out (Sujesh)

Beat

Bees 163 All Out in 40.5 overs
Dawood 58 (58), Krish 43 (86), Sujesh 13(17), Mihir 12(30),
Ketan.P 6/0/25/3, Amalraj 5/0/18/2, Chandrodaya 10/0/36/2, Govind 5/1/15/1, Nachiket 5/1/22/1

First time in SCCC History Seas played against Bees in any Division.
Bees Won the toss and elected to bowl first. Nachiket Played some aggressive shots against a new ball attack from Bees which looked rusty.
Ritesh kadu was dropped early on and he built a nice platform around it. He was dropped multiple times again which pretty much helped Seas to get to 226.
Karteek Played gem on an innings with lot of confidence and put away bad balls to score 43 of 81 Balls. Guru Man bowled a beauty in the beginning to get an edge of Ritesh and continued to bowl a beautiful spell. Mihir bowled well in patches during his 6overs. kartik Didn't have a great time with the ball and assume it's just one odd day off for him for the bowling caliber he has. Spinners spoiled the party and controleld seas to 226 even though they looked good for 270 plus runs. Seas were 200 for 4 in 43 overs and then 226 for 9 in 50 overs. Krishna and Vijith bowled good spells. Prumjot got 4 wickets and sujesh got 3 to ensure Bees is only chasing a moderate total at SCCC ground.

After a good Lunch game resumed. Dawood again in cracking form was dropped once mistiming a ball and after that it was dawood who decided to get out at 58 of 58 balls being tired on a hot day scooping the ball to Point by Karteek. Prumjot was in an unusual rush to score and paid the price against steady slow bowling by govind. First wicket fell at 20 runs. From then on it was superb cricket with a chaceless partnership of 92 runs between Dawood and krish Goel in 20 overs at a healthy 5 runs per over. seas team looked like losing the Ploy. But here comes Chandrodaya who generated a chance to get dawood out and Sujesh Walkedin to Join krish at the score of 111 for 2. next 25 runs came at ease and krish started batting with lot more authority and sujesh was supporting him well. Bees at 30th over 136 runs and just 2 down looked good to chase 226. Ketan Phaye comes for second spell and answered captain's worries by Picking up krish and Ravi shankar in 2 balls leaving Bees in a shattered mode. 136 for 4 and then krishna Joined Sujesh. Sujesh got out to Amalraj and the normal saga continues. 138 for 5 and then 138 for 6 since krishna got out edging a ball from ketan. kartik raina looked good but popped a catch back on a low  full toss from Amalraj. 146 for 7. Mihir kanojia batted out another 30 odd balls and scored 12 was the only last batsman standing. Vijith unable to bat due to a back spasm when 65 runs required in last 10 overs didn't help either. Eventually Bees folded up losing 9 wickets for 163 runs and lost the game to Seas for 63 runs. Thanks to Tameem for helping out as 12th Man and showing great spirit.

Overall a good game of cricket

Thanks,
Suju

Match Report - SCCC Mavericks v/s U.C Warriors - Quarter Finals - Knock Out- Disappointing Loss and end to Winter

We continued what we did in Summer. Play really well to the knock out
and then Goof-up. Lacking of planning and application as a batsman
costed Mavericks the chance to proceed to Semis.

Disappointing to see that SCCC have always lost due to top order
batting failure and never due to bowling all these years in an
important Game.

If we get starts in important games we are good. if we don't and if
the run rate goes above 7 to 8 runs then the guys who do not know have
never hit the ball tries to slog and get out. All I can say is

"You can be good and a champ in league rounds but if we cannot perform
when it really matters we are not champions".

Sorry That we had to end Mavericks on a note like this in this Winter
but hope the players will spent next few weeks correcting their
errors.

If they do not show up that's how serious they were and it showed in the game.

Match Summary,

U.C Warriors Beat SCCC Mavericks

U.C Warriors 131 Allout in 20 overs (Sridhar 43, Rocky some 30 plus,
Mihir Kanojia 6 wickets, krishna.V 2 wickets, Chandrodaya 2 wickets)

Beat

SCCC Mavericks 100 All out in 17.4 overs (Shiva 20 plus, Madhav, Kiran
got wickets. will Update once i have copy of score sheets)

A Patient and unusual Innings from Sridhar Reddy to score 43 runsand
yet U.C Warriors 91 for 1 slipped to 130 Allout. SCCC Mavericks
dropped Some catches especially from the very best after playing High
Quality cricket throughout the winter. Mihir Kanojia took 6 wickets
with some magnificient bowling keeping it straight and using the seam
to good use. Ritesh had some good moments behind the stumps with a
good catch and a great stumping. Krishna Bowled with great control and
got 2 wickets. Chandrodaya Supported with 2 wickets. U.C warriors got
all out in 18 Overs.

SCCC mavericks chasing one of the lowest total so far againt proved
that chasing low score is a Mental problem. Lost Ritesh and Prumjot to
Pull shots which didn't warrant the situation and unlike previous
encounters U.C warriors took all the catches it matters and was there
to ensure they are in Semis. Madhav tried to stop a ball and got hit
on the nose and was bleeding. SO almost for 3 overs U.C warriors
played with 10 fielders.SCCC Mavericks could never push the rate more
than 6 at any given point and Run rate kept climbing and Finally
couldn't get through due to the inability to hit big SHots. SHiva was
batting well but got LBW. Ritesh,Prumjot, Sujesh, Krish,SHiva all
failed.

But Amazing Team Spirit and Great Bowling by Madhav and Kiran to
restrict SCCC Mavericks

Good luck to U.C Warriors

Abhi 4-1-12-1, Kranthi 3-0-21-1, Srini 1-0-13-1, Kundam.S 3-0-16-1

by 6 Wickets

Indus batted first and 18 for no loss in 4 overs. Rohith Ramkumar at
his best swinging the ball and cleaned up the top 4 batsman. Mishal
batted well for his 33 and got out to Ismail in the 17th over. Giri
attacked and got 30 Not Out. Rohit patwari, Amar and Ismail supported
Rohith. Skipper krishna gave 5 overs to both youngsters and they
cleaned up 3 wickets in the end. Govind and Spinners were playing at
some point since all catches were going straight to him at short
midwicket. Govind took 4 catches at the Same position. Indus bated
better than their last visit and piled up 134 runs which is a
competitive total at SCCC ground.

SCCC Sox started very slow negotiating the swing bowling from Abhi who
bowled beautifully with the new ball. Suresh was erratic and leaked
runs. Karteek got out to a good catch from Kundam at Slips off
Kranthi's bowling. Rohith settled down at one end. Govind played
sensibily for his 11 runs. Girish walked in at 4 and tried one too
many shots against Kundam who was bolwing accurate and got out in the
last ball of that over. Rohith got stuck into Giri and played some
huge shots scoring 71 before he got out. Ketan Played very sensibily
for his 17 runs not out and Krishna played a cameo of 7 in 3 balls and
stayed not out. It was matter of time before SOX won the game and
Finished the game in 18th over.

Match Report - Mavericks v/s Cougars - Feb 5th 2012

Group: East
Home team: SCCC Mavericks
Away team: Cougars
Played: Wilson Education school on Feb 5, 2012
Toss won by: Cougars and elected to bat first
umpires

Cougars: 113/9 in 20 overs.
Krishna 39, Sunny 25, Sitanshu 23, Sunil 14.
Sujesh 4-1-12-1, Chandu 4-0-25-1, Ganesh 3-0-17-1, Prumjot 3-0-23-1,
Shiva 1-0-3-1, 3 runouts

Lost to

SCCC Mavericks: 114/2 in 17 overs
Prumjot 42, Krish 36 not out, Ravi S. 14, Shiva 12 not out
Sunny 2-0-17-1, Lalith 2-0-6-1

by 8 Wickets

Cougars won the toss and elected to bat at SCCC whereas Mavericks this
whole season have relied on batting and have put huge score upfront so
this was another task in front.

Sunny and Arsh Jammu started and Chandu got Arsh bowled to a beauty.
Sujesh got Jigar bowled which added to their trouble. Sunny and
krishna settled in slower than usual since they can clear the rope at
will once set. Sunny had a unusual cautious approach and played well
well for his 25 but miscued a uppish shot to mid off and got caught at
long off by sagar. Krishna tried to fix things and played very well
eventhough Ganesh troubled krishna twice and generated 2 chances.
Prumjot was introduced and got krishna caught and bowled. Krishna was
set and would have done more damage but this was a lucky break. Deval
got out run out with a mix-up. From then on it was just customary
batting and mavericks bowled really well. Slow bowlers did the trick
and COugars found it difficult to score. Cougars ENded up scoring 113
for 9 in 20 overs.

SCCC mavericks started with Ravi Shankar and Prumjot. Ravi shankar
started really well with some glorious shots on both sides of the
wicket. he mistimed a pull of sunny and got out. Krish Joined Prumjot
and they had a 70 Plus handy runs in no time with some excellent
placements and running between wickets. Mavericks batting have been
strong this whole winter and teams have found it difficult to get
through the top and middle order yet. Prumjot ended up scoring 42
runs. Krish scored a brilliant 36 runs at a good pace which included
scincillating square drive for a six over cover point off Adhiraj's
bowling. Treat to watch indeed. Prumjot got out and it was matter of
time SHiva and krish finished the game in 17 overs.

Good game of cricket against some quality team and some good cricketers.

Srinivas 4-0-14-2, Ravi 4-0-24-2, Nitin 2-0-16-2, Swaroop 4-0-27-1,

Rohit.P 2-1-2-1

by 50 runs.

Shantanu played a blinder for SCCC sox to get to 135 which is a very
competitive score at SCCC home ground. Rohith, Ketan and Karteek
supported him well. Srini, ravi and Nitin bowled well for Stanford
Tigers. Srihari bowled well but didn't have much luck.

Stanford A tigers were never in the hunt and were always way below
required run rate. There were some unorthodox hard hits by Ravi but
none stick around to achieve the target. Stanford had 5 wickets in
hand till the last 4 overs where Rohit Patwari, karteek and Sagar
cleaned them up. Sushant bowled a beautiful spell to make early
inroads and finished with 3 wickets ably supported by Amalraj.

Game was played in good spirits and umpiring was very good.

All time best by SCCC openers sealed the game for Mavericks against Sunnyvale Entourage

Hi all,

SCCC Mavericks 182 for NO LOSS (Ritesh kadu 85 Not Out, Prumjot 84 Not out)

Beat Sunnyvale Entourage 144 for 6 wickets in 20 overs (Ganesh 1
wicket, Sunny 1 wicket, Guru 1 wicket, Nachiket 1 wicket, Rohit.P 1
wicket, krish 1 wicket)

Ganesh, Guru and Nachiket bowled really well.

Vellanki and vijay Bhai bowled 2 beautiful Slowest overs to ensure
that sunnyvale was grounded (Both bowled 1 faster ball each to deceive
the batsman :)

Guru the legend was moving the ball and was at his best.

Ritesh kadu and prumjot scored an unbeaten First wicket partnership
which was the best ever at SCCC in all forms.

Prumjot got one life at 40 but otherwise brilliant execution of
batting were displayed by both batsman and plenty of doubles and
threes to get the score to 182.

Newbies also performed and took some good catches. 100% catching today
was the highlight

Also chandu who used his wedding ring as bowling marker :) during last
practice session is still a mystery.

I am a proud SCCCian to see so many good talent on our field.

Thanks,
Suju
