Game of the year so far probably where UC warriors lost a thriller to SCCC Bees where they didn't give up and gave a fight to the last breath and held their nerves to take crucial catches. Game was exciting till the end until Srini's valiant effort of batting with one hand after a Finger Injury during the first innings taking a blinder at slips off Dawood. Bees elected to bat and Started with the loss of Prumjot on a soft dismissal against Jayavel 's bowling. Dawood Followed krishna after starting well scoring 12 runs. Krishna was nicely settling in and looked very confident playing Jayavel and ranveer. Umesh tried to sweep jayavel and got LBW. SCCC Bees now 47 for 3 in 12 overs. Sujesh and krishna stitched in a nice 56 runs partnership. Just when things were going really well and SCCC bees in good position there was a mix-up between krishna and sujesh and Sujesh got run out scoring 22. score read 103/4. Chandru followed the very next ball without facing a delivery with another mix-up with krishna. SCCC Bees really never recovered from there other than a brilliant innings from krishna who ended up with 56 and got out due the heat which was in the high 90s. Ravi.s Got out LBW to Happy who was bowling really well. Rohit patwari played a blinder and scored 20 runs off 25 balls and got out pulling a ball to the lone fielder at deep midwicket. Mihir. K got LBW to Naren who bowled in good areas with his left arm spin. Ganesh and Sushanth had a very valuable partnership of 12 runs to add for the last wicket since anything above 150 there is always a chance at SCCC.
After Lunch U.C Warriors started their proceedings with all season fire-works from rocky who always look like middling the ball from ball one. Rocky scored 12 in the first over bowled by Ganesh. ALl shots were played off good balls, Widish long off, covers, Long on. Naren was settling in at the other end with some crisp boundaries against krishna who opened the bowling with his off spinners. Naren hit a good length off the back foot where Prumjot took a good catch at Mid-on. Sujesh bowled a maiden to Rocky to start with and got him the next over mistiming a shot to covers where umesh held a good catch. The damage was done and U.C warriors were 40 in 7 overs. Mihir bowled a beauty and got Kiran edge the second ball where dawood took a very good catch standing up to the stumps. Ranveer walked in and chipped the first ball to short midwicket where the fielder misjudged the ball completely and dropped it. From then on Ranveer played some brilliant shots against the medium pacers to score his 50 even though he played out all good deliveries with respect. Jayavel started well and was middling the ball and playing with lot of confidence. He hit some good shots off prumjot to start with. Just when there was a 55 runs partnership going jayavel got out to Umesh edging the ball low where dawood kept his pads together and got stuck in between. Mihir kept asking questions and look like enjoying bowling to heavy weight U.C warriors batsman who can hit big shots against any attack. SCCC bees kept doing basics right by keeping the ball in good areas. Srikanth and Raju were playing really well. Sushanth was introduced just for 1 over in the 31st over and got Raju pull a ball straight to short fine leg. 143 for 6 in 30 overs. Srini walks in with a fractured Finger and showed lot of courage to do that. Srikanth was Middling the ball well and was finding Occassional gaps and waiting for his Strength ball to hit. Just when things were going alright a voice came from the pavilion "Srikanth Bhai maro aur khadam karlo" - It was Ranveer :) and SCCC bees owe him that wicket since srikanth went for a big shot and got LBW missing the ball completely from Mihir where it skid through. The disaster struck and Naveen batting with Srini look like game is on with Srini batting with one hand to drive everything. Naveen was under pressure to finish the game was hesitating to play shots with the field in completely. He got run out in a mix-up. 160 for 8 with 6 runs needed and 14 overs in hand. Sujesh Bowled a 1 run over and got Happy out on the 5th ball trapped in front. Last Ball Shesha walked in and the kid was nervous to the core to bat. Last ball Shesha defended and got away from a caught and bowled where the ball didn't carry. 3 runs needed and 1 wicket in hand. U.C warriors slowly started showing some nervousness on their faces since they had even stopped updating the score board thinking the game was over long ago. Srini on Strike Dot Ball, Uppish drive to extra cover almost a chance but went for 2 runs. Dot ball again. This time Srini want to finish the game quickly but one hope was that he was batting with one hand and if he use the other hand ball will pop-up. Prumjot bowled a quicker one and srini flicked the wrist since field was in and blessing in disguise it popped up straight to Square leg fielder Rohit Patwari who did no mistake. SCCC Bees win a thriller by 2 runs where U.C Warriors had 12 overs left. Great game of cricket
